> It's wine o'clock motherfucker! It's not a Samara Weaving movie if she isn't covered in blood, people trying to kill her, killing the people trying to kill her and having crazy husbands that want to kill her! Give the girl a break for once!!!

> : maybe this is all coming to an end. > > : what is? > > : the Batman. I loved the part where they made the riddler a twitch streamer. Probably one of the best things DC has ever done. It felt like I was watching the mona lisa get painted. I'll forever hate the pandemic for making me not see this in theaters when it first released 💔. I loved every minute of it and how they showed the detective side of batman fr. Literal perfection of a movie—absolute cinema. Lowkey can't wait for Batman Part II. I'm really glad the riddler finally got its justice after that 1995 abomination of a film. And [does he know](https://youtu.be/DWq2eovHy_o?si=2TWnajeI3loYCTDe) that Batman is Bruce Wayne? (iykyk) *(P.S. ZOË KRAVITZ pls please pls come back in Batman Part II bby we miss you)*

> : you look like a kidney stone. > > : and you look like someone who would know what that is. Now where was my glorious king Lin Manuel Miranda when you needed him the most? The animation was absolutely beautiful, I could say that—but the songs are just so forgettable, they weren't that bad but they certainly weren't good either. The villain was basically just there—I also forgot he was even in this movie. The Rock was basically singing for his life. Matangi could've had more screentime lowkey. Moni was basically making self insert fanfictions with Maui—which was the most funniest thing in the movie. And I don't know what Loto was doing, like girl you can't make repairs on the boat when you're out in the middle of the ocean. The old person was also just there for moral support. Moana 2 just feels so rusheddddd and incomplete. I think I might have to give this one another shot when I rewatch the first movie. But hey, atleast the kids had fun watching this 🤷🏻♂️

> I will never be good enough for you, will I? Oh my fucking gosh, dare I say one of the most relatable Disney characters ever created? It's crazyyyy how much the family treats Mirabel like shit just because she doesn't have a gift, especially Abuela. Hell, they didn't even put up a photo of her along with the others. And literally in the family picture they didn't even notice that she was missing??! What makes it even sadder is that Mirabel spends the entire movie trying to understand everyone else’s pain. She listens to them, comforts them, and carries their burdens even after being blamed and pushed aside by the same people she’s helping. Meanwhile nobody really stops to ask how she feels—not once. She’s constantly trying to save the miracle while Abuela keeps acting like she’s the reason it’s breaking in the first place. I relate to Mirabel so much—wanting to help, wanting to make things better for everyone, only to get scolded for it or treated like you’re the problem. The movie understands that sometimes family pressure doesn’t come from hatred, but from generations of fear and unrealistic expectations being passed down over and over again like not everything is "perfect" (it's also hilarious how much they say "perfect" in this movie.) Everyone keeps saying why Abuela was forgiven so easily but I don't think everyone realizes that we were culturally raised to forgive our elders easily. The way Disney hides a story about generational trauma through a musical is honestly genius. Because behind all of that catchy music and colorful animation, is a story about feeling invisible in your home and constantly wondering if you're enough for the people you love. I literally feel for Mirabel because she tries so hard for a family that barely notices her until everything starts falling apart. OH MY GODH AND BRUNOOO BRO. I literally hated how they treated him and yeah I'm looking at you Abuela. The family and people treated him like a curse when all he did was tell the truth through his visions bruh. He spent years hiding inside the walls of his own home and the fact he left just to protect Mirabel. Bruno wasn't evil or a villain, he was just the family's scapegoat. And it was so funny how they "don't talk about Bruno" and yet they proceed to sing a song talking about him for 3 minutes straight. Anyway the movie absolutely slaps, the songs are fucking catchy as hell, there isn't a single bad song in this movie like that's how good it is. It's so heartwarming and a movie that you can watch with your family. One of the best modern Disney films ever. I guess the key for a good musical is just Lin Manuel Miranda.
