Lost in Translation
I missed the first 5 minutes because I’m a fucking idiot and I thought 20:00 was 9 PM, thank god the lady warned me as I was on my way to get some McDonald’s fries to sneak into the cinema. It’s unfortunate that I had to watch this snackless but movie was so good snacks may have been a distraction. ScarJo is beautiful and I cried.
I also lost my hat somewhere in the process, so I had to wander my way home hatless. It was ugly but it had some sentimental value. it’s a fine trade, I got to stare at ScarJo for almost 2 hours.
I was feeling some things in the background, subtle but all too present, I was completely alone in the cinema and that felt very appropriate. I love the scenes in which they’re just part of their context, figures among the tightly blue tinted moving images.
