Is this noir or do all french people just talk like horny philosophers on a regular basis?

If Adaption had a remote little brother who was a Pulp Fiction knockoff. - The main reason this couldn’t be made today other then this being “offensive” or whatever, is that this movie looks incredible, seriously it’s one of the best looking movies I have seen, nowadays if there is a trashy movie it always looks awful, just because your movie concept is trashy does not mean your movie need to look like shit. - Missed opportunity to have the guy that appeared for like one second as “Some asshole” credited just for the sake of having a credited role for “Some asshole”, lol. - Sidenote: I understood Interstellar more than I understood this. - Sidenote 2: Go(1999) is the better non Christmas movie that takes place during Christmas and is also a Pulp Fiction knockoff, but this is still good.

The politics feels like a 14yo girl discovered what capitalism is, and a lot of the script is very concept driven rather then character driven, things happens just because. however the movie doesn’t insist to much on its politics, and some of the just because moments of the script are incredible, and tbh…I just can’t shake that awe feeling while watching some of these scenes. My main problem is the fact that the whole thing is to forgiving, I don’t really mind that the characters are unlikable. I’m somewhat disappointed that I didn’t like it more, since I bought like 30 blu rays, and this was my most anticipated one, not to mention I adore Speed(1994). But it’s still great, just could’ve been better. - Watch it if you want some mindless action, but it’s not as brilliant on certain things like some people might say. - Also I’m sorry but this quote: “This was never about the money for us. It was about us against the system… that system that kills the human spirit. We stand for something. To those dead souls inching along the freeways in their metal coffins, we show them that the human spirit is still alive.” Was dumb and made no sense in the contax of the movie, if anything I think it was used to say something about the hypocrisy of the character. But I’m definitely reaching here, IDK this quote came off as annoying not as deep. Sidenote: this is like the one movie where the “fellas is it gay” letterbox jokes are actually funny.

Did I actually see it before? Or did I just see sitcoms referencing it before? The movie - That girl was 16?? I was sure she was like 28 or something, people used to look way more mature…what next you gonna tell me the guy that played the lion was only 43? Oh-wait…
