The Batman

Robert Pattinson is so good, the cinematography is fantastic, the fight scenes are intense and mesmerizing. The plot/mystery/drama all unfolds perfectly. Great sound score.  But oh my gosh Catwoman’s writing is so cringe. Upon a second watch it was painful at times. My first watch was in theaters and I think the amazing visuals distracted me from how shallowly her character is presented and how agonizingly performative and silly most of her dialogue is. And there are other predictably cliché moments, which I think you can’t escape in a superhero movie. I go back and forth between 3.5-4 stars.
