A really cool plot and a lot of amazing cinematography. Not to mention the incredible performances. My only problems is that there was some weird parts that felt super unnecessary, and the movie is so long. With that being said, it sums up the history of movies and how important they are.

An absolute masterpiece. The way religion and culture was depicted is absolutely astounding, and the way everything comes together to create such a shocking ending was brilliant.

In my opinion, a super underrated Denis Villeneuve film. I was super confused -in a good way- the entire time, and nothing could have prepared me for the end scene. It is an incredibly deep movie, and Jake Gyllenhaal’s performance was unbelievable.

Came in with high expectations, wasn’t my favorite film. I really loved the dynamic between Amy faking her death and Nick trying to prove his innocence while battling to reveal the truth. With that being said, the third act let me down. I didn’t love the fact that Amy gave in and returned home, and I don’t love that Nick was never able to reveal the truth. Overall, I think it’s a good production, just not something that I personally loved.
