A great example of the “TikTokification” of modern cinema. The whole time the film asks, “How much of this can we turn into a viral audio online?” when it should’ve focused on pacing, character development, and a deeper message. It has that “student film” feel to it, which isn’t a bad thing, but for a film that is being distributed by major studios then I think it’s fair to expect a bit more personality from it. Boring, bland horror that makes me lose hope in modern cinema.
