Parasite
This movie portrays two extreme sides of society the very poor, living in underground/low wealth houses being victims of natural disasters, saving the monthly rent not to have fun but to feed the family. The other side is are the extra rich people, with housekeepers, personal drivers and teachers. Ignoring the casualties that are happening below their feet. With that Parasite really outdid itself in showcasing the differences between both and the way those groups think of one another.
The build up in this movie is amazing, the scripts, the development and the relationship between both family are great with some comical nuances.
After the camping trip the movie lost me for a bit, in my view of it, why would such an organized and smart family let the old housekeeper in? It’s supposed to be a stranger, why would someone let a stranger in that conditions to her employees house? I don’t quite get it. But with that “mistake” the whole movie plays itself.
The rock, a symbol of sympathy ended out to be a way of revenge and grief.
I can’t give this movie a 5 star because it didn’t hit me emotionally as i hoped so and also because of the weird decisions and unpleasant timings that it has.
