Dreams
“the most important things for human beings are clean air and clean water…and the trees and grass that produce them. but folks pollute everything, and its lost forever”
among the most visually stunning films ive seen. it was honestly kinda reminiscent of kwaidan in its format and a couple of the sequences but still very different. this watched like looking through a stained glass window into the brain of one of the greatest film minds of all time, akira kurosawa, and man was it magical. some of the most stunning visuals, set pieces, character designs, and nature shots ive ever encountered, up there with mishima and kwaidan. also that last sequence has some of the greatest dialogue ive ever seen bro that shit was unbelievable lol. it was exactly what i expected, an unreal masterpiece of a film through and through.
(p.s this is film #400!!! i chose this movie specifically for this milestone as ive been putting off watching it for years so i just decided to watch it for #400 and man am i glad. such a beautiful and tremendous motion picture.)
