Sing Sing
THE story of the decade. Most people are (for good reason) talking about Colman Domingo’s portrayal of Divine G, But CLARENCE MACLIN portraying his own growth in character is just remarkable. In a world of modern filmmaking, people are drowned in effects and shallow writing, so when a movie that relies only on it’s powerful story is told so well, it is a reminder for younger audiences how amazing writing can be. With no use of effects at all, it shows us how therapeutic theater can be, because this movie is technically a play about the cast members at Sing Sing. Also one of the most beautifully shot movies ever. Bravo Pat Scola.
