The Hunt
""""" so this is a movie review but i just want to start with a hot take. """"""" i want to create something where every thought, emotion or any other thing that is expressed brilliantly in a way that doesn't crowd people's minds nor feel too barren. maybe an animation show. i want each character to be just genuine. i want to see sincerity in the character's smile and want to hear the crack in their voice when their loved one gets hurt, i want to see their hands trembling. i want to see total commitment between two platonic characters and prove to people that platonic love can be as meaningful and 'romantic' as romantic love. i dont want anyone in this show to be perfect or anything. i want them to be real through flaws and imperfections. i want to explain bazillion things through small gestures like stolen glances, fluttering eyes, soft exhales, a bump on the shoulder, a tilt of the head. i want my characters to be utterly human in every way. i don't want 'i love you' just as it is but as a poem though corny as hell, a brush of the hair, a half hearted headbutt, a scared tight hug, or scolding. let me rephrase, i love you is cool enough but i'd love to feel 'i love you' in every possible way and genuinely only. not for love. for every emotion. i want to feel the contempt, grudge held when i see the character's eyes. not just hate but the loathe. not just love but the admiration, proudness. i want to see the fear of a close call. i want to see the commitment of two as a whole. long story short, i just want everything to be genuine, just like in this movie (kind of random but yes.). i sympathized lucas for so bad i started crying hardcore just at 27 minutes. you dont even want to guess how i wailed like a siren at the church scene and at fanny's death. this empathy got to a point where i even synced my breathing with lucas to feel like him (i do that a lot whenever i make up a scene in my mind and i LIVE in that scene with this technique i swear some time i literally hyperventilated because of this). i stopped and randomly looked at somewhere behind my shoulder while crying like a schiceporpeowpixosxnic (sorry idk how to spell that) person and i remembered every single time that i was blamed. not because lucas enraged and seeked out ways to clear his name. but because he knew there was no point to it since there was no clearance out of his situation. he waited, it wasn't a submission but it was patience. yes, he attempted to be understood because WELL I THINK EVERYONE COULD SAY WHY, but he waited patiently until things cooled. everyone thought it did until that fuckass tried to shoot him and lucas knew all those smiles and forgiveness were a lie. this movie is just PAINFULLY beautiful because it it YOU FEEL OKAY YOU FEEL EVERYTHING EVERY FUCKING THING RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF YOUR HEART IT'S SO RELATABLE IN AN UNRELATABLE WAY IT HURTS you just feel frustration sadness sorrow rage whatever you feel but you can't express it and it's UNBEARABLE. that's why this movie inspired my story so much because with it just those small gestures i just told you they clicked with me and now all my characters are like these good written characters. and im a little biased here because if a movie makes me cry well it's automatically above four stars for me because not every movie can get me to feel something. and the hunt made me feel so many things in numerous ways, and al of them were genuine. i see the vision now that i've got time to process it, that this is "THE MOVIE" that changed my life and if i were to summarize it with one word, it would be "genuine". honestly, straight up five star.
