The Falls

One of my favorite movies of all time, with the unique cinematography, to the unique plot. Yes this movie shows the romance between Chris and RJ but what stood out to me the most was Rj's progression of self acceptance. The waterfall was a place hidden as it wasn't shown at all when it was first referred too such as his homosexuality, but at the end of the movie when he finally accepted himself the waterfall was shown. "I try and keep these feelings at a distance. l've prayed to God in tears before and hopes that I may one day love a woman and want to take her as my wife," was changing line as it digs at both internalized homophobia and religious guilt in a single phrase. I really love these two and I hope the best for them for the next two movies as they are loved and deserve the world. "I got these two queer pot smoking Mormons sitting here by the living room eating tacos."
