Cure

Everyone sees a movie now and then where it feels like it’s handcrafted to fit your tastes perfectly. This is one of those movies for me. I dearly love when movies open with a simple enough crime premise but as it progresses the psychological aspects begin to seep through to the point of genuine unnerve. Asian thrillers seem to expertly project feelings of hopelessness compounded by a lack of understanding the logic behind and reasoning behind the events of the film. I do not need nor want a crime mystery to be perfectly spelled out for me, I truly enjoy when there is meat on the bone left to chew when the film is finished and Cure leaves a perfect amount to the viewers interpretation. An easy 5/5 for me!
