Blade Runner 2049
Denis has done it again. He is truly the greatest working director and may be challenging Nolan as the king of sci-fi. A beautiful film about loneliness, creation and what it means to be human. Ryan gosling puts in one of his best performances as replicant officer K discovering his true emotions and purpose in life while searching for deckard played by the brilliant Harrison Ford. A masterpiece in cinematography containing some of the most beautiful shots put to screen, accompanied by a haunting yet peaceful score, fully immersing us in this futuristic world. On the surface it’s a slow burn action sci-fi but hidden is a thought provoking exploration of human nature and the search for who we really are.
