High Life

A solid 3 star. I loved the movie, the plot was phenomenal, characters were written so well and the whole concept was beautiful made. But what really put me off was the child nudity that was in the movie early on, although the film itself is very explicit, i found the showing a baby's genitals extremely weird. Dibs was also a very annoying character but I wouldnt count that as a complaint as obviously everyone has their flaws, but she was such a weirdo that I considered to not continue watching. I loved Mia goth's character, didnt deserve what she went through aswell as monte. Putting all the complaints aside, the overall of the movie would be a masterpiece. The characters had such a unique vibe. The vast atmosphere of space could have been felt from the screen, dark and cold. I would definitely recommend this to someone to watch if the genre of horror space came up, but on a normal day wouldn't be my go to. Ps: Anyone else notice how many times a hand have been mentioned?? The glove, the doll, the way characters died some of them always seemed to have one hand showing whilst the other is hidden.
