Interstellar
‘Don’t understand it. Just feel it,’.
One of my ‘many’ sayings is that a film should make you feel something. It should invoke at least a one emotion to make it worth your time. And I don’t think I’ve ever felt so much at once with Sir Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’. Happiness, Sadness, Triumph, Grief, Confusion, Disgust. Literally everything. This film makes me feel everything. And it is all done so beautifully and amazingly that through the vast space, I cannot find a single issue I have. The films main of exploration and adventure is its strongest, as my jaw dropped straight down at the scenes in space. The spectacle was absolutely jaw dropping and I was in awe from liftoff till the end. Truly breathtaking visuals. And the score just adds fuel to this beautiful fire as Hans Zimmer does the work of his career. What I think I like most about the film though, is how Nolan keeps my intrigue. I was constantly invested, constantly asking questions, and he kept bringing surprise after shock after twist and turn and I was addicted to find out the ending. And by god the ending is satisfying. It made me cry, it made me laugh, if made me happy. Amazing performances, amazingly written, amazingly made. Cinema.
