Scarface
“The eyes chico, they never lie,”.
Kaiden knows Ball.
This might be my favourite gangster movie I've seen so far. Or maybe I'd like Heat or the Godfather more upon re-watch. Anyhow, it's Tony. I love Tony. A caged animal who, went let loose, destroys everything in his wake to become top alpha, to the point that he has a tiger stuck to a tree. A man with a god-complex, who self-proclaims himself above everyone, and will let no one 'fuck him', though he fucks over everyone else. He speaks with Frank Lopez, and Frank jokes that too much money is a problem you want to have, and Tony repeats it with so much seriousness. He craves power to the utmost degree, but it never once makes him happy. It's interesting to see the contrast between him and Manny, as Manny sees life more pleasurably and is content, whilst Tony is miserable and can never have enough. And Manny cares for Tony's sister, whilst Tony simply takes his blonde wife. He won't kill Frank because he's filth, he'll beat his sister for fooling around with a bozo, but he is one of them, if not the biggest asshole of them all. The world is his, until his only world is a pool run with red, as he's covered with what he has spilled out of everyone he knows, blood. As I watch more and more movies I pick up more and more from performances and this one by Al Pacino is definitely a favourite of mine now. I'd rewatch this just to see those little details in his performance again.
