Chainsaw Man

chainsaw man is best written new generation anime. i don’t think that should be an opinion but a definite fact. this along with dandadan and jujutsu kaisen are probably my favourite new gen anime to exist at the moment. (idk about jujutsu anymore with that manga ending) denji is one of the best written main characters or characters every written in general. people think of him as a very one dimensional character with no actual goals but that is far from the truth. one of the most interesting and deep character to have ever written. not to leave out other characters but none of the characters in this story can be said are bad characters, all of them are great in one way or another. season one didn’t receive the same love that all the other mappa projects gotten when it should’ve been received the best among all of them. i’m so glad the reze arc movie is changing this consensus and people are actually appreciating the excellent writing this show has. “kick back” has to be top 5 anime openings ever. the song itself and especially the video, it references so many popular movies. fujimoto really is a cinephile. part one of chainsaw man manga is so rich i can’t wait for everything to get animated. after a rewatch, i noticed enjoying it more watching all the episodes together other than the weekly format and i think that can be one of the reasons the first season wasn’t as popular.  i hope the next season is 24 eps long and i think that would be enough material for the anime to finish with the first part of the manga. i’m so excited. please get that next season out soon mappa. don’t kill your animators, it’s fine if it takes a while. (try to keep the chainsaws all 2d ha drawn please if possible like the movie did)
