DAN DA DAN: Evil Eye

season two review just everything that made the first season so fucking compelling but turned upto infinite. the story this season is somehow even better than the previous one and a far more emotional one (the entire jiji and evil eye part). the characters are fleshed out even further than the previous season and are so likeable, any of these characters can be your favourite and no one would question you why. dandadan follows a pattern where one arc has fucking world ending stakes and the next one is relatively low stakes and that contrast helps in some way. the low stakes arcs present opportunities for great comedy and due to that this is one of the funniest anime shows airing at the moment. this season also feels a little less weird because the first season has made you aware of what to expect and you know what’s coming when. i started reading the manga after this season ended and oh my god the stuff that happens in this story past the second season, people aren’t ready for how weird this show actually is. brace yourselves. momo and okarun have become one of my favourite anime characters of all time. THE OPENING THIS SEASON IS THE FUCKING BEST. it didn’t vibe for me until multiple listens because in my mind i thought nothing could actually beat the first opening but nah this one is infinitely better (for me). please watch dandadan everyone.
