Scott Pilgrim Takes Off

I enjoy this enough but I can’t say I’m a huge fan of it as a whole, Scott is absent from 5 of the 8 episodes in the show and the payoff for that is very obvious and not worth the cost. I appreciate the fan service but it feels like if they leaned into the original plot more this would be a better watch.  On a more positive side, some of the changes here do work for me and I’m glad to see something that isn’t just a shot for shot remake. Another good thing I have to say about this is the animation, I’m not normally a fan of anime style animating or tropes but they feel like they fit here.  In conclusion while this show certainly doesn’t surpass the movie it is a pretty entertaining time and it’s not bad, just good
