Face to Face
Liv ullmann if you read this im free on Thursday night and would like to hang out. Please respond to this and then hang out with me on Thursday night when I’m free.
Okay so actually. This seems like it’d be a slog to get through - weird, boring and drawn out. But I was attentively watching the whole time. I felt like it was speaking straight to my soul. It was like autumn sonata in some ways, and even though it didn’t make me hysterically sob (just cry), I liked it just as much. The dream sequences were superb especially. And liv… LIV!!!! Those monologues my god… she really blew me away once again. God damn I loved this so much. I cant watch Bergman ad much as I want to because I always get this gaping hole in my chest. The poor mother and the poor daughter… it just goes on and on, doesn’t it?
Also slight spoilers for this part but a Bergman film with a sort of satisfying and hopeful conclusion? What universe is this?
