IM CRYING MY EYES OUT I LOVE LIFE IM SO FUCKING HAPPY OH MY GOD I WAS MADE FOR THIS THIS IS WHY I WAS BORN IM GENUAIRNWJEKKSKSKDKKDKRKE IM SO HAPPY TEHURJEJSJSKWK AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS JUST PERFECT AMAZING WONDEEFUL BEAUTIFUL PERFECG PERFECT PERGCET YES UES UES UES UES UES YE SYE S!!!! "Why give me Crowley, why make me complete, and then take it away?" Everyone online seems to be mad the ending wasn't romantic enough but I disagree—of course, a kiss would be great but would that really fit the show? This, this, was romantic enough for me. Holding hands? The way Aziraphale was so gentle? The fact that they're both nerds and lovers in a different universe? That's enough. We knew the ending wasn't going to be perfect; it was rushed and cut..But it was good. It was fitting! It was bitter enough to appreciate the connection between them. (AO3 time for now I suppose) I cried for the whole 90 minutes straight. Honestly, this was just *fun. *The special effects and the dumb jokes had me giggling while crying my eyes out and the dinner at the end satisfied my aesthetic requirements fully. And so, the nightingales sang. It's what they both wanted and it's what they both accepted. 6000 years together. The ending was just beautiful! God, the amount of parallels was truly astonishing. I swear, every single moment was a reference to something earlier on the series. (THE FINGER ON HIS LIPS?) Sometimes I forget how much this stupid show has shaped me into who I am today (sry ts so corny I know gav is gna make fun of me when she reads this) but today reminded me why I love it so much. The characters, the story. Genuinely, the connection I have with them is insane. Funnily enough, I've managed to find parallels between almost every person or relationship in this show to my life. (YES, Lucy, including you.) I cannot believe this has come to an end. Although, I'm 100% sure the fandom will stay very(!!) alive (let's pray I didn't jinx it). Again, the ending was fitting. Obviously I would be happy if it ended all sappy and romantic but I feel like the book shop au ending was perfect. Yes, it felt like reading a fanfic. But honestly—I loved it! I can't fully describe what I'm feeling to be honest, it's just an odd sense of comfort. God, Aziraphale. Aziraphale. The way he looked at Crowley (and the way Crowley looked at him) broke my heart completely. The innocent touches, too. Everything just made sense. And maybe their souls finally found peace. THE old married couple! The use of music was great, as always! Of course, I'm very biased but still! Queen? Bowie mention? The dance! He did the dance! Thomas Jefferson, you were right! "MET GOD. SHE'S BLACK." okay sorry. When they disappeared, and the particles swirled together as if they leaned in for a last kiss? I'm going to believe that's what happened. And the way the particles formed a heart, too! Are they the definition of soulmates? Super messy review, writing while drowning in tears. Might finish later. "To the world" > "To the world"
