Some really good memorable scenes and a great score, but this isn’t quite at the level of the all time great horror films for me because for most of this I’m not all that engaged in what’s happening. Still a worthwhile watch and an interesting premise, definitely inspired a lot of inferior films that came after this

Iconic, but just not that funny to me. Would’ve been interesting to see them delve more into the gender dynamics of this story, rather than resort to using the cross-dressing as a device purely for humour. I guess that’s a lot to ask of a film from the 1950s, and this film does still feel very progressive, doesn’t feel like it’s making fun of its subjects at all. I think a film from the same era with the same type of themes, but a slightly more serious tone, would be more interesting to me. Although the fact that this was even allowed to be made by one of Hollywood’s biggest directors at the time of the Hays Code is crazy enough, very important film

Makes me proud to be British (which is rare nowadays). Very funny, maybe the perfect setting to watch it in as well (drunk with flatmates, one who had seen it before so we could nerd out about the cool shots). Overall a very fun watch Maybe the perfect ending?? I feel like I could have done with watching some classic spy/heist films from the era so I knew a bit more about some of the tropes they were spoofing in this
