City on Fire
I’m really glad I finally got around to watching this. The movie does a fantastic job at making you feel the tension around Ko Chow from both the police and the gang. All of the performances were solid especially considering I don’t understand the language they speak in but still understood the emotion behind everything.
Hong Kong looks cool as hell thanks to great visuals, lighting, and location choices
The final standoff scene is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen in a film before, and you really see how Quentin Tarantino essentially was heavily inspired by this when making Resevoir Dogs (pretty much plagiarized but whatever)
