Battle Royale

I gotta admit, I completely underestimated this movie when I came across it. I just assumed that it was another goofy comedic bloodfest and tbh, thats what it is. Except it excels at the genre. This is kind of a dense plot imo, it really doesn't slow down all that much. Theres some actually funny moments and some cute sentimental moments that really made me love the story and its characters regardless of it sounding ridiculous on paper. I feel like they really leaned into the absurd nature of this story and weren't afraid to have some goofy moments that in the end made it even more silly and entertaining. Very fun watch.
