I made the mistake of reading the reviews before I made my own and I learned of the term “Oscar-bait” and you know what? I don’t care. I really enjoyed this movie. Carey Mulligan absolutely smashes her role and Bradley Cooper does great as well. I don’t know, I was just invested. I think I’m a sucker for an eccentric yet inherently flawed genius, or maybe Cooper’s acting just reminds me of Andrew Garfield in Tick Tick Boom. Regardless, I’m probably in the target audience for this one.
