The tension was unbearable in the best way possible, and that last scene is still haunting me. Did he actually hear the whistle? Did he ignore it? Did he know where it was coming from? I seriously need more because thereβs no way they expected me to move on that easily after that ending.

When I was a child, I used to think protectors always had to wear armor, a police uniform, or a cape. But this movie showed me that heroism doesnβt always look heroic. Sometimes, the people who seem rough, broken, or criminal on the outside are the ones with the kindest hearts. Not everyone like xiao bei was born bad, some people are just shaped by the cruelty of the world around them. What amazed me the most was chen nian. Despite struggling mentally, physically, and financially, she still fought so hard just to survive and make it through the gaokao. She was exhausted, scared, and alone most of the time, yet she never gave up on herself. Watching her keep going even when life kept beating her down genuinely motivated me to do better at school too. Some people study because they have to, but she studied like it was her only way out. Bonus thought: this kinda reminds me of bones and all

Thought this was gonna be another nonstop action movie, but it ended up feeling quieter, sadder, and way more human. Somehow the conversations were just as intense as the fights.

Volume 1 is literally female rage done right, Iβm still shook by the ending, just Uma Thurman and her Onitsukas against the world, and those dramatic goofy sound effects had me cackling. ππππ
