Sharp Objects

So cool to find out that Marti Noxon created this series! Her work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer really brought on the female perspective and now she’s delved even deeper into flawed and fascinating women’s stories. That being said, this is much more of a slow burn than I expected and it centers a lot more on the effects and trauma caused by physical and emotional violence than on the actual inciting incidents. I kind of wanted things to get darker! I only wish I knew what I was in for, so I didn’t expect so much from this series.
