Saltburn
I feel like this movie is severely misunderstood. I suppose since it was so talked about people heard about it thinking “eh, why not?” And watched it, although it had a very specific target audience.
But in that case you cannot act so shocked by this movie saying it’s the worst there is out there (Because by saying that it basically means that you didn’t watch a lot of movies—I mean, really?)—while you weren’t even the target audience. if this movie is nowhere near the same style as previous movies you enjoyed then why bother?
I think it came out perfectly. The realisation was fantastic and the acting really so surprising. Obviously all of the actors were well casted because they all fit their roles so well, and I liked how the movie gave a small focus into each of the depth of the different main characters.
They made us familiarise with them, perhaps enjoy their naivety and unspoken misery, before completely welcoming us to witness their end.
I liked the movie slight’s uniqueness. It’s not completely new, but it is definitely not usual, and it’s done well in terms of originality.
I would recommend it only if you’re open minded.
