Titanic

Let’s just say I get why it’s a must watch. Sure it’s a bit too much at times, but then you get reminded it’s not just a rom-com and more-so history as well. I do wish they did a better job with the scenes shot in the future, as they were really not that interesting although it’s the whole point of the movie. The necklace story was honestly only good during the flashbacks, which is obviously nice but the whole point of those flashbacks is the necklace’s story set in the present.  Anyhow Kate Winslet did a really good job. It makes sense that’s the role she’ll always be known as. On the other hand, DiCaprio was like usual. Honestly maybe that’s a hot-take but really all his roles seems so…DiCaprio ish. It’s hard to differentiate the two, and that’s not a good thing once it’s a matter of acting. But he wasn’t bad. My attention just was set on anywhere but him. Anyways I’m being peculiarly mean as he really was good. I really liked the start of Rose’s storyline. And well, I liked how the plank scene ended. Obviously recommend it but either way you shouldn’t skip on watching it, really. I do feel like it’s Cameron’s best work… but you know, I’m not a Cameron fanatic either way.
