A Complete Unknown
Damn, I really loved this movie! I didn't know (and still don't know) much about Bob Dylan's story, but this film is so well-directed and acted that it made me want to delve even deeper into his life.
My highlights go to the cinematography and direction of the film, which was in the hands of James Mangold, who had already done great work before (especially Logan), and also to the incredible performances, such as Timothée Chalamet's, who proved once again to be one of the best (if not the best) actors of his generation, embodying such a complicated character with such perfection, and also Edward Norton as Pete Seeger and the wonderful Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, who, even with little screen time, shone brightly as always.
I almost forgot about it. The quality of the music here greatly contributes to the film's rhythm, and at least for me, it didn't sound as repetitive or poorly placed as in other similar films.
In any case, I'm happy to better understand certain peculiar aspects of the lives of artists like Bobby and how an industry like the music industry can be much more complex than we think, especially in its negative aspects. However, the film doesn't abandon the love for music and its true meaning, which is demonstrated through other characters, and that is its true beauty.
