I cannot die.And I cannot live. If you are already going to give life to a creature why do you fail so hard to be even a little bit maternal to him? He is a creation, not a monster. He isn’t evil he just lives in a cruel surrounding since everybody sees him as a monster. He just wanted some love and a FRIEND. And since Victor framed him for the death of Elisabeth and her uncle, everybody believed it just because he was different. I think Guillermo did quite a good job demonstrating the complexity of the relationship between a scientist and a creature. And somehow he captured the feeling of how it feels to be different and not fitting into the world. How it feels to be lonely while seeking love and validation from others and seeing how easy it seems for others while you never even got a tiny bit of it.
