"You can't beat me because you are a loser and I'm a winner and that's fucking life!"
This movie fucks you up so bad, it leaves you with a lot of questions, one question it created in me was:
**Are we really sure that we are going in the right direction (humanistically)?
**
I noticed that some movies released recently talk about humanistic themes and how the human being and its progress is slowly degrading leading us to ruin, an example is "**One battle after another" by PTA which deals with themes such as the past repeating itself and social injustices or "Eddington" by Ari Aster **which deals with themes such as fear, chaos and power
Well, this film is another example, here it metaphorically states that the rich are seen as aliens and that bees are like humans, this film, like the others mentioned, shows how humans are gradually screwing themselves over, due to greater powers, economic and social.
How everyone is at war with each other, over problems we created, how we are unable to manage them well and how they are gradually leading us to ruin.
this is what I THINK based on my vision and perspective that I had watching some films released recently, but this one hit me differently
Lanthimos has produced a MASTERPIECE
I should thank him because I think almost no film has ever made me think so deeply
I think if this film was seen twice it'd be appreciated more
