Lady Bird

i really wanted to love this movie, and i think that if i had watched it at a different point in my life, i would have, but currently, i do not. i think and i hope that i can rewatch this later on in my life and think to myself 'what the fuck was past me doing with this review,' as on paper this is exactly the kind of movie i would love. greta gerwig, saoirse ronan, and timothee chalamet, yet something just didn't click for me. the entire first half of this i was confused on what the plot was supposed to be, and when i thought i had figured it out, i had definitely not. laurie metcalf's scenes were the only parts of this movie that made me feel anything, the airport scene was beautiful but trapped within the rest of this movie.
