Dogville

the town of dogsville is exactly what i imagine when people preach about the importance of community and all that, there’s nothing more terrifying to me than human nature. this film was horrifying and beautiful, so stripped down and raw and im not proud to say i loudly cheered when children were about to be murdered in front of their mother.  also the conversation between grace and her father in the car was so refreshing, i enjoyed every part of that and felt it was necessary for me to have a better understanding of grace’s character and ultimately the shift that happened in the end.  this is art. i am disgusted and horrified
