Almost Famous

a love letter to sex, drugs, & rock & roll by far, this has been one of the best films submitted for film club even if i was the person who submitted it in the first place. i had no idea that i was in for such an excellent piece of cinema in which half the soundtrack just leaked my playlist but, still valid. one of my favorite parts about this film is the dynamics between william & everyone else as he gets outside of his comfort zone even while having to get this hit piece complete for rolling stone. i don’t even think that 5 years ago i would appreciate this film for what it was in which, i’m just glad that after all those years this film has finally been watched after years & years of putting it off.  all in all, this film is an excellent lens on 70s music & how most bands didn’t really last that long during that era of music. everything about this film to me is just perfect & apologies to dead poets but this is going in the top 4 simply because of the summer vibes + simon & garfunkel.
