Swades

There is Swades... There's Daylight... And then there are all the other SRK movies. I am so glad to have been raised in the 2010s.... You are telling me that a AMAN KI MAA KA TAMASHA type shit movie i.e MAIN HOON NA, became a BLOCKBUSTER but SWADES WAS A FLOP??? How dumb was the Indian audience in 2000s?? And why tf are SRK movies like KHKN re-released but not Swades? I have watched this movie so many times, definitely in double digits, and this movie still feels fresh, 2 DECADES LATER! Being a Brahmin myself, I could relate to Mohan in a pristine amount. Only if this movie made an impact in those days, orthodoxic millennials would have faced a squeaky clean. This movie talked about Civic Sense, politics, boons and banes of our culture, and the only sane fact is that a big chunk of Gen Z has not inherited the ridiculousness of our boomers. I won't expect a big change in the upcoming decades given the APPEASEMENT POLITICS or our Government and Opposition, but the only thing I can expect is SRK in the form of Mohan, returning back to India as a retired 65 Year Old, and sees how his country has changed since then.
