is every sean baker protagonist the most lovable person ever?! this made me cry and i wasn’t expecting that at all. i love sadie so much, i am so happy the movie ended the way it did days later I'm still thinking about this movie, the director has an undeniable talent for writing characters that you can't help but care about and actively root for despite their questionable decisions and actions. all three of the films I've watched from baker so far have a very specific feeling in common that they convey so well. the wholesome affection you feel watching internet videos of unlikely friendships between various animals, babies, and old people is captured perfectly in his projects. i don't know if this trend will continue through the rest of his filmography as i go through it but if it does I'm sure he'll quickly become one of my favorite directors.
