Casablanca

Day #5, Movie #5 of OG Hollywood week I went into this movie not knowing what to expect. In general it’s known as a high rated classic, but I’ve also heard bad things about It, like it being boring. I still had pretty high expectations for some reasons, but they nonetheless got exceeded. Cause damn, this is a MASTERPIECE. I thought this focused on just romance, and I had no clue the war actually played a big part in this movie. I very much liked that, as war is my favorite genre. And I must credit it, cause it was an amazing feature. Yes, it’s not 100% history accurate, but let’s no forget this movie was made in the middle of the war. That alone is impressive already. The way the nazis accurately looked like Nazis was very impressive aswell. From which perspective(s) it’s told was very interesting. In in general just loved the whole war-aspect of it, it made the movie so much better.  But also without the war aspect this movie is simply amazing. Visually it looked phenomenal. How is that even possible for a movie so old. Also the way the story was told. The flashbacks sequences were amazing and made it feel very modern. This movie didn’t even feel old btw. It felt like I was watching a movie from the 60s. The acting was amazing, the characters were all very unique and also really good, dialogue was good , so on so on. Just an absolute banger of a film🔥🔥. Might the best movie of OG Hollywood week so far. Would I watch again: yesGets into my top 100 oat: definitely High 5/5
