The Debt
the debt is an amazing film about two men who are in debt (as the title says, i know, shocking) and in desperation, kill the men whom they are in debt with.
this is an outstanding film, seriously it is so well done and i couldn't begin to praise it enough, cinematography is excellent, so is the atmosphere and the acting. the whole movie not much happens yet it keeps you sitting there, in tension excepting something yet you don't know what.
the opening scene also says a lot, it gets you thinking about the corpse, and as you start to watch the film and piece it together you begin to wonder whether it is one of the men in debt or the gangs.
the atmosphere in the movie is bleak, hopeless and somewhat similar in nature to "a short film about killing". the cinematography, especially in the killing scene is AMAZING. dark, bleak, and raw, not much cuts and the camera is very shaky, feeling rather real and horrifying.
the acting is also great, especially from the characters of adam and stefan. you can really see the desperation and fear in them as they get further threatened. or how bleak and emotionless the film is after the killings, really setting the mood to a much sadder, and regretful tone.
overall, the debt is a great crime/thriller movie, highly recommend.
