Before Sunset
i wanted to leave a proper review and tried to come up with something—anything, really, but in the end i couldn’t really find the words to articulate how this movie made me feel and i’m not even kidding when i say i actually cried during the car scene. something about it just hit me in a way i didn’t think it would. hell, i didn’t even think i would tear up over this movie, but i did.
i thought before sunrise was already perfect in itself, but i might just love this film more than the first part, actually. it’s the way you can feel even more the sense of regret, longing, and missed opportunities between them that made this even more devastating. to be able to find someone you can connect with in a way that you wish you’d be able to connect with someone, it’s perfect, and it’s not something that you can easily get. this movie perfectly shows how hard it is to be able to find people that you can actually connect with on a deeper level, and that’s why i think it’s really great. and i love how it relies on the dialogues, how their conversations feel so real, so authentic. it’s beautiful. this movie is a masterpiece.
