> *"I never drink... wine"* I appreciate what it is, especially for its time. it was missing a lot, but the cinematography and set was perfect— the floating flapping bats really made the movie though. the real stars of the show. it had a lot of charm, but a rather anticlimactic ending. dracula knew that people were coming to kill him and brother just went for a nap.

> *It's alive, it's alive !* my first ever frankenstein experience and I'm not mad about it... though that ending, what is it with these old movies having an abrupt ending? i loved the monster, who i believe did absolutely nothing wrong, he was just a little guy :( i loved the design of the monster, it was so simple but so effective. Also the script was incredibly amusing. Definitely my favourite of the universal monsters so far.

> *"do you see it? do you see the sin?"* okay so, would this be regarded as a good movie to most people? absolutely not. but to me? this was fucking great, i had a great time and i would revisit again. as a campy slasher, it had everything it needed to be great. it was grimy, nasty and in some places, brutal. the characters were mostly obnoxious, the kills were great (although, sometimes off screen) and the aesthetics and atmosphere of the hotel were off the charts nasty. idc what anyone says, this was fun and i think people took it too seriously.
