The arts are the primary way of expressing ones emotions. The art of film is no exception. In a way it could be the best way to present emotional story telling. With it's use of sight and sound it can present its' artistry in an unique and individual way. That is why I love the art of filmmaking. Tonight I ended up getting to rewatch this with my mom, dad, sister, and brother-in-law. Everyone really enjoyed it, even my sister. She's someone who's on her phone throughout the run time of any film, but not only did she not go on her phone once, she even requested to finish the film later since she had to go do babysitting. If that's not a sign that this film works for everyone, I don't know what is.

How it genuinely felt seeing the credits roll on the 218 minute television version since Criterion decided that cut also belongs in the collection. https://youtu.be/kJwCU9mWnuA?is=D57DSWafR9oXgpuk

Phil Hartman continues to be the funniest part of any movie he's in. We really lost a good one too soon.
