I can’t be objective, I first watched this movie on a laptop when i was 8-10. This was my adventure man. I remember more of this movie than any other at the time.  Rewatching it for the first time in more than a decade, it’s got problems but I’m blind to them. This isn’t a masterpiece, but it’s peak.

The way ryland does no brave act of his own volition chronologically until it comes to taking off his helmet for rocky.  And man, his last dream of earth being in the imax ratio when ever other was in a normal theatrical ratio. Oof dude.
