this is The Lighthouse but if it was in color. the film has no dialogue whatsoever but man was the sound design good. it’s not easy paying attention to sound design when an actor is talking or music is blasting through a scene. foley artist have one of the coolest and funnest jobs in film. every shot felt almost like a painting. the carefully framed static shots and the use of zooms created and atmosphere for the film that i really like. a grainy film with popping red and blue colors with a nice aspect ratio that gives it a old school horror film feel. the whole time it felt like the film was shot on a whim and i don’t mean that as an insult. something about this film really speaks to me. art that i watched in my house. art house.
