Sentimental Value
Everything in this is awesome. Amazing performances, cinematography, story and soundtrack. Really a great representation of absent parenthood/generational trauma. I also think the characters in this are really well done. Their motivations and why they are who they are is presented strongly and I like how nuanced they all were. Almost everyone is doing something good and bad and all the bad actions are presented in a way that you can sympathize with or at least see why they’re doing it. You really have 4 fully fleshed out characters here with at least one fleshed out story arc (some have multiple) that are all woven together and wrapped up nicely by the end which I really do think is a substantial feat.
