The film is a clean summary of infamous events while it shows us some insight like Michael's relation with his abusive father. Throughout the film, this film is flawed in many ways. Rather than showing substantive drama, its main focus is to keep the viewer entertained, and its direction focuses on clean recreation, the cinematography, and the music. While Jaafar Jackson's dancing cannot be denied, it feels more like imitation than authentic expression, and that's okay because it's the whole point of the film. Rather than focusing on storytelling, this film focuses on the public image.
