Excalibur

Genuinely insane movie. Visually it’s one of the most unique and interesting I’ve ever seen, the shine of the metals and the blindingly bright greens of moss on trees. The movie plays out like a Shakespearean tragedy about the birth, decline and death of chivalry and knighthood. Love how every character claims to embody virtues befitting their nightly position but every time it comes to prove it they always show their true greed and spite, every battle fought is bloody and brutal with no real rhyme or reason. The set design is also insane with sieges and constant things happening on screen and in the background.
