Cameraperson
despite having very little clue what was going on throughout most of this, it was one of the most interesting and engaging things i have ever seen. humans are fascinating. it’s wild how different everyone’s lives are and johnson demonstrates that beautifully through skilful juxtaposition - but what really gets me is that she was there through it all, a common thread in all these vastly different structures. it’s crazy.
i felt so many different emotions throughout this, and sometimes many at once, but the intensity of all the different types of pain and anger were what translated through the screen the clearest and really fucked with me the most. i don’t understand each one of these scenarios and never will, but i’m ok with that, because i know that that’s not really the point at all.
