i wish this movie got more flowers than it actually did. the fact it doesnt focus on a man and it actually shows the fact that theyre heavily off of that idea by giving merida an independent mindset. the relationship between her and her mother is something that should be represented in more films, especially in children films, because the reality is it is really like that. the way it showed the wound and also the healing of the wound was beautiful. i love when disney movies are mostly about family dynamics instead of being male focused. this movie always manages to make me tear up, especially the scene where she puts the blanket on her mother thinking shes to far gone.
