Sentimental Value

One could say this hit a little too close to home (pun intended) Probably my most anticipated movie of the year, was worried about my expectations not being met but was quickly relived knowing that wasn’t gunna happen. Just utterly beautiful, raw, and artistic. Every performance was extraordinary. No character weaker than the other, all absorbing the emotional energy in a scene and immediately ricocheting it to the viewer, a definitive strength of Joachim Trier’s work. His ability to create every character full of complexities and depth is truly captivating. I will watch anything he creates, he continues to blow me away.  (No but for real I’m a wreck after this)
